As a commercial photographer based in Cleveland, I specialize in people, including environmental portraits and studio work. High school yearbook photography led to photojournalism studies at Ohio U, which yielded to a Fashion Photography concentration and a BFA in Visual Communication, which led me to start my career in New York. Working five years with top NYC pros prepared me to move on and begin “loading my own camera,” photographing people for magazines and other commercial clients. This range of experience qualifies me for a wide range of assignment work, from environmental and studio portraiture to compelling photo stories.
Thirty years of working in the photo industry have rubbed off well, giving me expertise in nearly all specialties in my field. Explore my portfolio to see all of my capabilities. Wedding clients can learn about my “reportage” approach to wedding photography at my wedding page. Actors, models and business professionals can learn about headshots and related services at my headshot page. For product and architectural photography, please visit my Product Place page.
Jerry’s been seen single-framing on a 16mm Bolex, tempting fate with a pinhole camera or shuffling through frozen food to find a box of 8x10 film. Otherwise, when not found kicking around on his drums, spinning vinyl or belting out INXS in Karaoke, he can be found on the local mountain bike trails, getting dropped by a 13 year old kid.
